♥ Good morning everyone — it’s another beautiful sunny day in Cape Town. Colder in the mornings and at night, but the glorious sunshine makes up for it! To brighten up your day I have something special to show you by Betty Pillsbury from AmericaClick on the image to enlargeBetty Pillsbury is a textile artist and instructor and lives in the beautiful northern Catskill Mountains of New York State in America. She is a herbalist and herb gardener as well. The surrounding beauty inspires her.Click on the image to enlarge
Betty taught herself to embroider when she was eight and loves everything to do with needle and thread! Over the years, she has won nearly 200 awards for her needlework and has appeared on Simply Quilts, has written numerous articles, created a piece for the White House and her work has been exhibited in numerous venues across America. I find great peace in creating my art.” Betty’s first on-line class started in March and it is called Peacock in Paisley. Perfect on its own as a framed piece or incorporated into a crazy quilt.Click on the image to enlargeFriend Betty on FaceBook at BettyPillsbury or e mail me and I will put you in contact with her.Click on the image to enlargeSome more to inspire you…Click on the image to enlargeAnd some more…Click on the image to enlargeAnd some more inspiration :)Click on the image to enlargeThis is one of my favourite pieces...I have some beautiful masterpieces to share with you in the weeks to come.
