Blog > Ribbon Embroidery by So Siu Ping from Hong Kong

Good afternoon! Need some inspiration this Monday?  I have a beauty to show you Embroidered by the talented So Siu Ping from Hong Kong and don’t you just love what she made? The "Wish You Were Here" ribbon embroidery design that we sell in kit form under the Box Full of Lessons Series.
This project is especially for the beginner but the advanced embroidered will also love the refresher and new ideas...

I asked So Siu Ping to write a little about herself and this was her reply:

"It's my pleasure to share my work on your blog with all embroidery lovers.
I started stitching quite a few years ago, learning techniques from Annisa Lam(Hong Kong) and much more from Di Van's books, videos, and blogs. Recently I try to add in my own ideas to create interesting parts. Well, that's a challenging experience!

More happy stitching to come!"

I just love So Siu Ping's style, loose and gentle on the ribbon, with stunning effect. Look at the Agapanthus and Hibiscus! Absolutely gorgeous!
She used my range of silk ribbons and see how they help the leaves and petals to appear almost real?

Look at her tree! I just love how she made the leaves. The instructions will show you how.

Look at the roses and the beautiful long leaves of the Yucca plants. See how she padded the pots so they are nice and rounded? I show you how in the step-by-step instructions and colour photographs that are included.

Thank you, So Siu Ping, for sharing your wonderful talent with all of us
