Happy #WorldEmbroideryDay! One of my favourite flowers is the Cape Aloe (Aloe ferox) also known as bitter aloe or red aloe with its many medicinal qualities. It’s a perfect subject for dimensional embroidery. So, here it is for #WorldEmbroideryDay

I used the picot stitch for the leaves, wrapped thread around wire for the stems and made the orange flowers with loop stitch and silk ribbon. I am planning individual templates and step-by-step lessons of all the flowers that I made for my DVD “New Beginnings” series. Happy stitching everybody!
