Blog > Silk ribbon embroidery by Carol Anderson of Carol's Yarn Barn in Scottburgh, Natal

Greetings from a very windy and chilly Cape Town Hope you are well and happy and enjoying your embroidery wherever you are in this world. I have something lovely to show you by Carol Anderson who owns the legendary Carol’s Yarn Barn in Scottburgh on the South Coast of KwaZulu Natal in South Africa   Carol’s rendition of House with a Picket Fence is simply exquisite. I love the colours that she used, the way she built the trees in the background and the flowers in the front.   Click on the image to enlarge    1 By Carol Anderson from Scottburgh South Africa     Close-up detail of the picket fence and her gorgeous flowers....   Click on the images to enlarge...   2 By Carol Anderson from Scottburgh South Africa     And the pink tree on the side of the house...     3 By Carol Anderson from Scottburgh South Africa       And the trees in the background and the roof....don't you just love this piece?     4 By Carol Anderson from Scottburgh South Africa       And the rockery by the pond.... so lovely!     5 By Carol Anderson from Scottburgh South Africa     Thank you Carol for sharing your talent with all of us   Heart     If you are lucky enough to be visiting the South Coast, do pop into Carol’s shop while you are there. Carol’s Yarn Barn stocks my ribbons and panel etc. for embroidery ….if you are staying for a while, ask about ribbon embroidery classes that they may be offering.
