The sweetest little birds in ribbon embroidery...Good morning everybody… are you ready for the week?To brighten up your day, I thought you would like to see the cutest birds by Svetlana Gerasimova (Светлана Герасимова) who lives in Pskov, Russia — a city south-southwest of St. Petersburg, on the Velikaya River.Click on the images to enlarge. Can you see how she has used ribbon instead of thread to embroider the little bird? I think this is so clever and it’s unique :))Svetlana wrote to me: “Good day to you! My name is Svetlana Gerasimova; I live in Russia in Pskov. I have been embroidering with ribbons since March last year and your work, embroidered on the prints, made a big impression on me! During my second maternity leave, when Synule was slightly less than a year old, I had the opportunity to create, and now I'm teaching those who want to learn this technique. What I love is that women, like me, derive great enjoyment from this art.” Close-up detail…click on the image to enlargeDon’t you love her flowers?I love these little brown birds!
