I am in Kiev, Ukraine to teach the new roses on felted backgrounds at the fabulous International Master's Golden Hands exhibition, and it has been a great honour to meet Yuri, Natalia, Tatiana and Alexei. We were fortunate to have a traditional Ukrainian supper and it was delicious! One day you MUST visit this beautiful city to meet the kind, hospitable and salt-of-the-earth people who live in this ancient city.
.... and I have something that will surely brighten up your day!
A magnificent piece by ELENA Lisovitskaya (Лисовицкая Елена) from Lugansk in the UKRAINE.
Elena wrote to me:
"Hello, Di, I live in Ukraine in the city of Lugansk. Just this year, I learned about embroidery ribbons and started in this kind of needlework. Learning from books and the Internet. Your work is great! They admire and inspire me"
.....and, this is Elena's first piece — I just knew it would brighten up your day!!!
