Blog > Cute little Toadstools

Happy Valentine’s Day — I hope you have all been spoiled today :)   I have some cute little stumpwork toadstools to show you by Susan Stelly-Adams from Port Saint Lucie, Florida, USA. Susan has been needle-crafting for over 30 years, starting out with embroidery and cross-stitching. It has only been in the past 2 years that she started doing stumpwork.    Click on the image to enlarge       Susan wrote to me: “I hope you are having a lovely Monday morning! I wanted to send you a photo of a project I completed this past weekend. Although I am excited and eager to learn and master the ribbon embroidery, (it is just so beautiful!!) my true passion is stumpwork. I live in a small retirement community in South Florida, USA and a local gift shop consigns my work. I will be bringing the mushrooms to the gift shoppe tomorrow, Monday. It was a great deal of fun to create and I think the frame is so suitable to complete the rustic, woodsy look. Thank you for all your support, encouragement, books and tutorials!! I have learned so much!!   Another view of Susan’s toadstools. Click on the image to enlarge.       Thank you Susan for sharing your lovely piece with all of us.     Happy Valentine’s Day everybody       With love from Di
