I live in London, UK. I began to learn the art of making flowers in the late 1990s. My Russian grandmother, who was a flower maker, taught me the basic techniques and passed on her antique tools to me. I used to work in the fashion industry and in parallel, collaborated with wedding designers. Last year, I turned my creative passion into making flowers for my own business…"
" The process of making flowers is a meticulous, long, but very creative work…. Every single petal and leaf made by hand using only finest natural fabrics such as silk, organza and velvet…"
" Each flower requests its own fabric to achieve the best shape and look…"
"I am interested in different techniques of making flowers and was really fascinated by ribbon flowers of some talented artists that I have seen on your Facebook  page…."
"At the moment I am learning some ribbon embroidery techniques that I would like to use for my next project - belt/sash range.
Thank you Yelena for sharing your awesome talent with us and I look forward to seeing your new creations   It’s a beautiful, hot day in Cape Town - real happy weather!
Have a good day stitching world.
