BONGU, καλημέρα  :-))   Today I have a beautiful Still Life in silk ribbon embroidery to brighten up your week by the talented Tanya Yalaguzyan from Kiev. I met Tanya in my workshop in Kiev and was so impressed with her outstanding talent for three-dimensional work. I enjoyed teaching her as she was so passionate about ribbon embroidery and a lovely person too.   This is what Tanya made:     1 by Tanya Yalaguzyan from Kiev     Don’t you just love her piece?   And from another angle so you can see the dimension in her work .....     2 by Tanya Yalaguzyan from Kiev     and....     3 by Tanya Yalaguzyan from Kiev       I just love Tanya's work...     4 by Tanya Yalaguzyan from Kiev       I wanted to show you where we went hiking last weekend. From Llandudno along the Karbonkelberg trail past Sandy Bay to the ship wrecks for lunch and then we made our way back again.     Hike at Llandudno       It's a beautiful part of Cape Town!        Hike above Sandy Bay, Landudno       Here is Camel Rock. Don't you think he looks just like a camel?     SONY DSC       To get to Camel Rock, we hiked up Constantia Corner via Constantia Nek.   A beautiful, beautiful hike to the top, where we sat on the dam wall and ate lunch. It was sublime. Thank you Linda, John, Wally, Denise and the gang!   Enjoy the rest of this week and happy stitching... even 20 minutes a day is worthwhile because it really is such good therapy!   Love   Di   ‎~ ♥ ~
