Today I want to show you a beautiful piece by my friend Philippa Michel Derfner from Modi'in Israel ...

Pippa and I are childhood friends.
We were born in the same month .... she is 10 days older than me and so she’s the boss :))
I have very happy memories of the times we spent together in South Africa, especially of the delicious sole we ate in her parent’s hotel…still dream about the delicious treats we had there.
Pippa now lives in Israel and works as a social worker with the aged. She has also studied art therapy so fully understands the benefit of creativity for the mental state of mind.
She started doing ribbon embroidery nearly three years ago after being inspired by the pieces she saw on my web page. "I get immersed in the colours and the feel of the ribbons and love to see the picture come alive as I progress"
She says “I don't have as much time as I would like to work on a piece… I work full time, but once I sit down its hard to stop! I continue to be so inspired by embroiderers from all over the world!
