I asked Debbie to tell us a bit about herself and her embroidery journey, here’s her reply:

“Good day Di!
I currently live in Corbin Ky. I love to create texture and dimension in my projects. Your book Ribbon embroidery and stumpwork caught my eye in a fabric store I frequent. I decided to give it a try and when I did I was hooked! The quilt photos I sent are my first project using your wonderful ribbons and I plan to add them into my projects from now on. Ribbon embroidery is quick and easy and yet the results are stunning and have the dimension and texture I seek!

I worked on this off and on for 3yrs. It got best in show at the local library quilt show, 2nd place in category at a mountain quiltfest pigeon forge tn and best in show small quilt at smoky mountain quilt show knoxville tn. I included hand applique and embroidery.”
