Silk Ribbon Embroidery — A New Update

30 July 2019

Hello from a cool and rainy Cape Town. I hope you are well and happy! It has been an exciting, busy time for us these past few months. I have been working on new projects and designs (which I’ll tell you about soon) and I have now completed the popular Pink Delight Tutorial. You will find the final chapter (chapter 6) here.

It’s a step-by-step project that I have been teaching as a free online lesson and it’s been a very popular exercise! Thank you for all the wonderful feedback, I am so pleased that you are enjoying yourselves.

For those who are seeing this for the first time, this easy-to-follow, free online tutorial is aimed at the beginner to silk ribbon embroidery, but the advanced embroiderer will also enjoy making this lovely garden scene and will learn some new tricks in the process.

Have a look at Chapter 1 and then you can advance to chapters 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6. We have divided the kits for this project into 4 kits to make it more affordable for you to purchase them as you progress, or you can purchase all four kits at once to qualify for the special offer. Remember: our South African currency’s exchange rate is very much in your favour now. It’s approximately 14 to 1! So, divide the totals on the pages by 14 to get the approximate value in US$.

You are welcome to order online or you can email us at to ask for the kits that you would like and Sumi will assist you with your order.

Hint: You can also use sections that you learn from this design in other projects and for making lovely gifts!

I hope you will enjoy making Pink Delight as much as I did and looking forward to receiving your pictures!

Wishing everyone Happy World Embroidery day!
